In 1989, the weekly worship services were held in the AVA room of Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Secondary School. Sunday School classes were conducted in the classrooms there. As in all mission schools, the Chaplain’s office was also situated in the school.

With limited seating capacity (maximum 110) in the AVA room and faced with a growing number in worshippers, the AVA Room was beginning to prove to be too small. The school hall, though could accommodate much more was not conducive as the acoustics were found to be lacking.

Therefore, the Session towards the end of the first half of year 1992 decided to pursue the construction of a Chapel jointly with the Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Schools. A piece of land that was housing a basketball court for the Primary School was identified as a possible location. In July the same year, the Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Schools’ Board of Governors (BOG) gave their approval as well as the commitment to bear half of the total development cost. A Ground Dedication Service was held on 1 June 1993. The Moderator of the Synod of the Presbyterian Church, the Rt. Rev. Timothy Hoon officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony to signify the commencement of the construction works. The Chapel was completed in July 1994.  A Dedication Service was held on 6 August 1994. The then Moderator of the English Presbytery of the Synod of the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Dr. Graham Ng led in the service.   Towards the end of 1999, the church with the similar support from the BOG, embarked on a building extension program to cater to her growing ministry.  The works has been completed in November 2000.
